My grandfathers, not sure of age, but I think it is around 1920

Where would we be without memories? Memories are what make us who we are. Memories are the glue that binds us to our family, friends, and everyone who has crossed our path. Somewhere buried deep inside our minds, it can appear at any moment as if out of nowhere. Without memories, we would be nothing but empty shells.

Some memories bring a smile to our faces, while others remind us of a dark time in our past. Memories affect the decisions we make and the paths we choose. Our whole being reflects what has transpired not only in our lives but in those who came before us, passed down from generations, as stories showing us how it was in time past.

Memories are connected to the past; we can’t change what has happened; it has already taken place. Of course, the good ones we would not want to change, but whether good or bad, it’s who we are, our lives are a reflection of times past, and they can’t nor should they be changed or erased from memory.

Each day brings a new memory, a new challenge that will affect our lives and the lives of those around us. We need to cherish them as they come into our lives, each one makes what the world is like and what it will become.

The Serenity Prayer

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change the courage the change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference
