Wouldn’t it be nice to have your life planned out for you, so that all you have to do is go out and live it. But unfortunately, even the best laid plans can go awry. Things almost never go “as planned”, but we plan anyway. It makes us feel safe and secure. To know what we are going to do in the next moment gives us a sense of safety.
But what do we do when our plans get off target? Well, we make a plan to get us back on target. But isn’t that what makes life so great. The surprises that come about in our daily lives when we “go with the flow”. Isn’t that what live life to the fullest means.
God does have a plan for us, but that does not mean that the road will be straight and narrow, instead it will be filled with curves and hills, and valleys, and detours. But God will not leave us stranded, nor will he force us to take a path we don’t want to take.
But what he does promise is the key to salvation, and that key is eternal life, through the blood of his son Jesus Christ. ALL roads lead to that final destination, but it is our choice on how we get there.
